Our Occupational Therapy assessments are conducted at your own home and the appointment lasts between 60-90 minutes depending on the complexity. We discuss your medical condition, assess your mobility and transfers within the home environment and review your personal activities of daily living (grooming, washing, dressing etc) and domestic activities of daily living (laundry, shopping, cleaning etc) to establish your functional level.

We provide One Need Assessment (ONA) to provide cost effective solution to the client who wants us to assess one aspect of ADL and make recommendation for that one need (ex- need a shower chair, need a grabrail at front entrance).
Two needs assessment is a cost effective assessment tool designed to assess and recommend two specific needs. For example- the referrer expect the OT to review the client for a toilet transfer and shower transfer to make recommendations.
All Low cost Assistive Technology is recommended as a a standard without charge in our Assessments (ONA, TNA and Comprehensive assessment). However, for all high cost equipment we recommend a trial and it incur a review cost.
Yes. We use a specialist software to prepare our Minor Modifications report and therefore the charges are based on the number of Minor Modifications recommended. Please contact us to know more about the charges.
Whenever there are more than two needs and when the referrer is unsure of the needs we can carry out a comprehensive assessment to cover all areas of ADL and home environment to make recommendations.
Following an Initial Assessment we recommend a joint site visit with a builder to explore the feasibility of complex home modifications (like ramp, accessible shower etc). Following the approval from the Case Manager, We arrange a joint site visit and a Complex Home Modification Report along with a Review report is produced.
Depending on the type of the assessment our Occupational Therapists are likely to recommend Low Cost Low Risk Equipment/ AT, Ongoing referrals, High Cost Equipment and Trial, Minor Home Modifications and Complex Home Modifications.
Following an Initial Assessment (It could be ONA, TNA or Comprehensive Assessment) if a high cost equipment is recommended for a trial then the OT recommends a follow up or review assessment. You will receive a report with recommendations following a Review Assessment.
We recommend a equipment trial either at your home or a local showroom to ensure the high-cost equipment meets your individual needs. From our experience, we understand that every individual is different and there are range of similar equipment but with minimal variations. Therefore, we recommend a trial to identify the right high-cost equipment to ensure the equipment/Assistive Technology meets your needs.
